Our principle goals are: to facilitate useful connections between individuals and groups working on sustainability issues in the community; and to create spaces for exploration and dialogue about issues.
We see ourselves as helping guide the process of visioning, strategizing, and integrating positive solutions into the community by encouraging and facilitating education and communication.
The Sustainable Gabriola group usually meets the fourth Sunday of every month to discuss current issues and to share and cross-fertilize ideas for movement in the direction of sustainable living. Anyone is welcome to attend these meetings. The Sustainable Gabriola Initiatives page has some examples of initiatives that have arisen from seeds planted during our meetings.
